Buttery, crisp, wonderful with morning coffee or a midnight milk, Shortbread is the most humble treat of the cookie world. Little is needed to make them, just three ingredients that are probably in your cupboard now. They are a cookie that grandmas love, and sometimes around the holidays, its nice to have shortbread with your tea and reminisce.

Ingredients
- 3 Cups All Purpose Flour
- 1 Cup Powdered Sugar
- 3 Sticks Butter, Cold cut in pieces

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325 F. Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper or a light coating of a baking spray. Set aside.
- Mix butter with powdered sugar, until creamy. Slowly sift in flour, continuously scraping down the sides to incorporate all the ingredients.
- Roll out dough to about an inch thick and cut into circles or rectangles. Place on cookie sheets at least 2 inches apart. Prick dough with a fork to make traditional shortbread design.
- Bake 12-15 minutes or until slightly golden. Do not let them brown. Remove from oven and cool for 10 minutes.
